What is the 'Five Dollar T-Shirt'?

The Five Dollar T-Shirt is a quality 100% cotton white t-shirt (sizes S-XL) with screen printing in one color on one side of the shirt.  For orders of 20 shirts or more, the set up fee is waived.

What if I want printing on both sides of the shirt?

No problem!  Printing on the second side of the shirt is only an extra $2 per shirt.  The same minimum of 20 shirts per design applies to avoid set up charges.

This sounds like it's too good to be true!

It's not.  We pride ourselves on delivering great work at a reasonable price.  We do all the work ourselves and do not outsource.  That way, we can check each garment before it leaves our factory to make sure it meets our specifications.  See for yourself by ordering a free sample shirt.

Do you use name brand shirts?

We use Gildan, Port Authority, Hanes and Fruit of the Loom t-shirts.  We cannot guarantee what brand you will receive as it depends on the shirts we have in stock at the time.  We can guarantee, however, that brand will be one of the above mentioned.  If you need a specific brand, please let us know and will do our best to accommodate you.  In some cases, we may need to minimally increase the cost of the shirts.

What sizes do you carry?

Youth sizes: Small to XL

Adult sizes: Small to 6XL (4XL-6XL not available in all colors)

Adult sizes larger than XL are an additional $2 per extended size: 2XL add $2, 3XL add $4, 4XL add $6, 5XL add $8, 6XL add $10.

What if I want a colored shirt?

Colored shirts are $2 extra per shirt.

What colors are available?

We have a variety of colors.  Black, red and royal blue are our most popular, although we love printing on orange and lime green shirts!

What about long-sleeved shirts?

Long sleeved shirts are an additional $4 per shirt.

Can I mix and match short-sleeved, long-sleeved and colored shirts? 

As long as the design on the shirts and the color of the ink remain the same, you can choose whatever shirts you like.  If you order 20 or more combined, the set up fee is waived.

What kind of design file do I need to provide?

We prefer to have a 'vector' format file like eps, ai, cdr, wmf or a scalable jpg (svf).  Normally, those files are not available so we ask for a high resolution (300 or 400) jpg or gif file.  Word, publisher or power point files work too.

If it is necessary to redraw your design or logo, we may need to charge an art clean up fee.  Art clean up for the first half hour is complementary.  We charge $35 per half hour after that.  Most redraws are less than half and hour.  We will contact you if are charges will apply before doing any work that will involve a charge.

What if I don't have a logo or design for my shirt?

We can design something for you based on your description or draft/sample layout.  Our first half hour of design time and first two proofs are free.  After that it's $10 per proof and $35 per half hour of design time.

Can you print more than one color in the design?

Yes, we can.  For 1 additional color it is $2 per side.  For 2 additional colors it is $4 per side.  For our more colors, we would like the opportunity to review your design and project needs so we can quote appropriately.  Please send your design and the details of your project to info (at) fivedollartshirts dot com and we would be glad to quote.

Where do you ship from and why is shipping not quoted?

We ship from Richmond, Virginia and charge published UPS shipping rates.  
Turnaround is normally a week to 10 days, plus shipping time.

What if I am located in Richmond?  Can I pick them up?
If you are located in the Richmond Metro Area, we will deliver them to you at no charge.  If you are within driving distance from Richmond, contact us and we'll make a plan!

When will I get my shirts?

My event is this weekend, what can you do?
Depending on our production schedule, we may be able to accommodate you if you have the design and sizes in hand.  Call us or e-mail us to discuss your needs.  In some cases rush charges apply.
